ALcontrol in the community

At ALcontrol we are dedicated to playing a part in our local communities, and being involved in projects that add real value to society. We focus on supporting issues and projects that promote education and employability and engage with local communities.

Engaging with local communities

We aim to be involved in our local communities, from sponsoring local childrens football teams, to working with disadvantaged young people. We participated in The Princes Trust's 'Team Programme', which is a 12 week course for 16-25 year olds, offering work experience, qualifications, practical skills, community projects and a residential week. We also encourage our staff to organise their own charity events, such as MacMillan coffee mornings and 'Bake Offs' for Children in Need.

Education and Employability

To make sure we are able to help the next generation onto the career ladder we have proactively set up a number of partnerships which benefit students. We work alongside Rotherham Youth Enterprise (RYE), so that we can use our knowledge and expertise to help explain to students and teachers what we look for in employees. As part of RYE, we assist in shaping students for working life by offering work placements, holding mock interviews, and helping young people to write CV's. We also act as an Enterprise Advisor for Thomas Rotherham College.

We regularly attend careers fairs in our local areas, for both students and members of the community who are looking for opportunities.
