Quality

ALcontrol Group aims to operate to the highest standards of quality ensuring customers can have confidence to act on our results. This is founded on commitment to ‘integrity first’ as part of our company values and a management system that embeds good practice.

ALcontrol’s laboratories are accredited to BS:EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 by national accreditation body who are members of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation body (ILAC) – for the United Kingdom this is UKAS. We also participate in other quality approval schemes and hold approval to MCERTs and DWTS as well as Tesco and Marks and Spencer laboratory approvals amongst others.

Whilst we have an extensive management system, internal and external quality control and audit programme we believe the attitude,  integrity and competence of staff is the real key to effective quality. We believe training, staff engagement programmes, regular dialogue with staff and an independent third-party ‘whistle-blowing’ hot-line all contribute to this. Recruiting people with the right attitude from day one also helps.
