Water Treatment Companies

ALcontrol Laboratories provide an analytical testing service for water treatment companies to enable them to meet their regulatory obligations in a wide range of areas from facilities management to healthcare. ALcontrol are members of the Legionella Control Association (LCA), a partner laboratory with the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and affiliate partner to the Society of Biology.

We are able to provide a comprehensive testing service from the point of sampling through to logistics, registration, analysis and result reporting. We have industry experts working within our waters team which sit on national and international committees which are available to provide interpretation, advice and consultation on all aspects of the water industry. 

For water treatment in the field of Legionella control our analytical methods are carried out in accordance HSE L8: The control of legionella bacteria in water systems; approved code of practice and guidance on regulations (2013), HSG274 Part 2: Legionnaires disease – the control of legionella bacteria in hold and cold water systems. This document provides guidance for duty holders who are in control of premises and have Health and Safety obligations for others.

In the healthcare field ALcontrol has developed a testing range applicable for use in the renal therapies sector specifically around Health Technical Memorandum 2030, 2031 and ISO23500 – Guidance for the preparation and quality management of fluids for haemodialysis and related therapies. ALcontrol offer a specific renal pack service which contains everything required for water treatment companies to maintain compliance to the regulations.
